The ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS business division emerged shortly after the establishment of the company in the 1950s. Among other things, it included the first complete rail-mounted terminal block family with self-contained contact inserts.
In the 1990s, the ELECTRONICC business division was added, which included the first fieldbus-independent WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM. Due to the rapid development, WAGO decided to change the name of the business division to the term AUTOMATION, which is more common on the market.
Both business divisions form the basis of the company. In the course of the years and decades, they have produced a wide variety of product lines, which have not only proven themselves, but in many cases have defined the state of the art.
