MCS MICRO

MCS MIDI

Versatile connectors with additional safety: WAGO’s MCS MIDI Connectors are available with 5 mm (0.197 inch) and 7.5 mm (0.295 inch) pin spacing and offer additional connection safety and reliability. Only mating halves with the same number of poles can be combined. Custom coding options ensure 100% protection against mismating. Mismating is also prevented by selecting a different number of poles. Connect all conductor types ranging in size from 0.08 to 2.5 mm2 (28–14 AWG).

Standard connectors for device connections: The versatile MCS range – MCS MIDI Classic Connectors are available with 5, 5.08, 7.5 and 7.62 mm (0.197, 0.2, 0.295 and 0.3 inch) pin spacing. Included universal CAGE CLAMP® connection is suitable for all conductor types from 0.08 to 2.5 mm2 (28–14 AWG). Connectors equipped with locking levers or screw flanges secure connections by preventing accidental disconnection.

High-current connectors: WAGO’s new MCS MAXI 6 Pluggable Connection System extends the power electronics family with levers. Accommodating conductors ranging from 0.5 to 10 mm2 (20–8 AWG), the MCS MAXI 6 Connectors have increased current carrying capacity, making them ideal for higher current requirements. The intuitive lever allows conductors to be wired directly in-hand. MCS MAXI 6 is available with 7.62 mm (0.3 inch) pin spacing.

Maximum Security without Loss of PCB Space

The MCS MAXI 16 PCB Connector offers additional locking options with a central front lock.

The MCS MAXI 16 PCB Connector with a center locking mechanism provides greater security against accidental disconnection in particularly tight spaces. This locking variant features front actuation from above the conductor entry, allowing the connector to be placed directly next to other components. The MCS MAXI 16 with Push-in CAGE CLAMP® connection reliably transmits high currents up to 101 A for conductor cross-sections up to 25 mm² and is ideal for applications in drive technology, inverters and battery storage systems. The lever technology allows tool-free wiring. With its center locking device, the MCS MAXI 16 thus offers the perfect combination of power, size and a comfortable actuating force.

The MCS MAXI 6 PCB Connection System offers flexibility for selecting the right locking system

Maximum safety in minimum space and greater flexibility for device design – this is what the three MCS MAXI 6 locking systems offer, giving electronics developers the perfect locking options to protect their applications against accidental connector disconnection.

All three locking solutions are intuitive and can be operated with one hand. The side locking lever is optimized for applications where there is enough space next to the connector to operate it. The center locking lever is particularly suited to applications where connectors are located right next to each other on the front of a device, since it offers a compact locking mechanism without additional pin spacing width. However, if there’s no space left, an additional center locking mechanism is available. This option is operated from the front, above the conductor entry, to secure connections in extremely tight spaces.

Users in the field benefit from universal, intuitive, quick and easy operation thanks to a clear color scheme and an automatic, tool-free latching mechanism that provides both audible and haptic feedback when mated.

With this new screw locking system, WAGO’s 1-wire male headers have an additional surface-mounting option, making it easy to secure flying leads to a panel. The center locking lever, with or without strain relief plate, for WAGO’s 832 Series MCS MAXI 16 Pluggable PCB Connectors provides both maximum safety and an easy-to-use design, even in the smallest spaces. This makes WAGO’s solution the market’s most compact for locking pluggable PCB connectors within power electronics.
The intuitive center locking lever protects against unintentional disconnection of the connector – without additional pin spacing width, allowing the connectors to be placed directly next to each other. In combination with the strain relief plate, conductors are secured against pull-out forces. At the same time, a solid gripping plate makes plugging and unplugging the connector easier for users.
